Under sunny sky in N'Djamena, Chad, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the China-Chad Friendship Park. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Chad, officials from Chadian government departments, and members of the community attended the ceremony.
The China-Chad Friendship Park was jointly initiated by the Chinese Embassy in Chad, the Ministry of Environment, Fisheries and Sustainable Development and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy of Chad with CNPC International (Chad) in charge of the construction. The park covers an area of 12,460 square meters, with functional zones such as a greenery area and a children's playground, as well as facilities including monuments and pavilions. It is a comprehensive livelihood project offering cultural exchange, leisure and entertainment for the citizens of N'Djamena.
Djamous, the Minister of Environment, Fisheries and Sustainable Development, representing the Prime Minister of Chad, highly praised the construction of the China-Chad Friendship Park. He stated that the project was of great significance for environmental protection and sustainable development in Chad. He expressed great satisfaction with the cooperation with CNPC and looked forward to maintaining a mutually beneficial and win-win partnership.
A representative from CNPC International (Chad) outlined CNPC's contributions to local development, social progress and environmental conservation in Chad. The representative pledged to develop the park into a model project that benefits the community and revitalizes urban development in Chad.
