New Teaching and Learning Structures

Twitter

Teaching and learning is at the core of everything we do at Osbit and, to support Osbit’s continued success, we are incorporating some new frameworks into our structure, following feedback from our team.

To strengthen Osbit for future growth as we solve bigger and more complex engineering challenges for our clients, we have formed an Operational Board, which is working in conjunction with our existing Executive Board of directors.

The Operational Board consists of our Managing Directors, along with experienced Osbit Engineers Neil Harrison, Phil Pennington, Martin Jolliffe and Steve Binney, who have each taken on the role of Associate Director.

The Associate Directors work across our projects to provide expertise and support to our engineering teams and are working to drive project and process progression.

We have also launched a new internal teaching and learning initiative to better support knowledge transfer among our team, as we continue working remotely. Osbit Tech Talks allow our team to share essential learning on particular projects, engineering aspects and HSEQ to drive continuous improvement and are delivered as regular, short, company-wide presentations.

Osbit Associate Director Phil Pennington said: “At Osbit we really pride ourselves on nurturing our young engineers and helping them to reach their potential. Having learnt so much over the last 8 years in this brilliant team, I’m really excited and grateful for this new opportunity to help drive on Osbit’s growth and cement our culture with newer generations of engineers”.

Osbit Joint Managing Director Robbie Blakeman adds: “Osbit has always thrived on open communication, distributed responsibility, respect and trust, enabled by a universal alignment toward getting the job done. We have always tried to better everything and we must continue to empower our team to succeed as we grow, with meaningful improvements such as these.”
