Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) reports that it is continuing intensive cleanup, containment, and environmental remediation efforts in the area of the Pantepec River, in the municipality of Álamo Temapache, Veracruz, involving specialized personnel and high-capacity equipment.

More than 80 land and river units are operating in the field, including a FIFI II class emergency response vessel and five speedboats, which are deployed for tracking, containment, and safe access to critical areas. The work also includes the set-up of 48 oil-absorbent booms and 13 marine barriers, as well as the recovery of surface oil using two skimmers and four self-contained breathing apparatus units, supported by 11 backhoes to clear paths and tracks.

Personnel and equipment from four companies are also participating in these efforts: A&B, Luza Tecnologías, HB, and SIISA.

Pemex reports that the 30-inch Poza Rica–Madero oil pipeline has resumed operations safely, in compliance with current safety protocols.

Simultaneously, and as part of its commitment to social responsibility, Pemex is strengthening its support for the communities affected by the recent extreme rainfall in Cerro Dulce and Congregación Juana Moza. This assistance includes conducting censuses, delivering supplies, and carrying out cleanup and debris removal work, in coordination with authorities from all three levels of government to maximize the scope of these actions.
