In October, the cumulative production of Sebei Gas Field, which is operated by PetroChina Qinghai Oilfield Company, exceeded 100 billion cubic meters (BCM). Located in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, Sebei Gas Field is the highest-altitude gas production area in the country, facing harsh conditions for natural gas exploitation. It serves as a gas source for the Se-Ning-Lan Pipeline and is one of the main alternative gas sources for the West-to-East Gas Pipeline. Over the years, gas from Sebei has continuously benefited tens of millions of people in Gansu, Qinghai and Xizang Autonomous Region.
